FertilizeIt Bio-Florist is a probiotic solution for keeping cut flowers fresh.  It contains a dynamic mixture of pH buffers, sugar, beneficial bacteria, and electrolytes.  We call it Bio-Florist because the beneficial bacteria in this product maintain a clear pathway for nutrients to enter the stem, maintaining biological activity in water similar to hydroponics.

FertilizeIt Bio-Florist works on multiple levels to keep cut flowers looking their best longer.  Level 1 in the process is to buffer the pH.  A lower pH reduces the risk of harmful microbes.  Level 2 introduces our beneficial bacteria to the water surrounding your cut stems.  These bacteria out compete the fungi and other microbes that block the phloem and xylem in cut flowers, in turn, allowing nutrients to enter the stem.  Level 3 introduces essential electrolytes which allow for cation exchange “the pump” allowing the flower to absorb needed nutrients.  Level 4 introduces sugar.  Cut flowers do not need an NPK fertilizer because they are not growing.  Once cut they just need an energy source to maintain their stature and color.  This energy source is the sugar.

Mix 1 Tbsp of FertilizeIt Bio-Florist powder into your vase of cool water.  Trim cut flower stems by ½ inch and place in vase with FertilizeIt Bio-Florist mixture.

Stir product into water and let dissolve before adding cut flowers.

Floral stems that are dried out on the bottom are hard to re-activate.  Trim the stems until the tip shows moisture and then add to vase.

Store product in cool dry place with lid tightly closed for longest shelf life.
